A bit about me
Photography has been my passion since I got my first camera for Christmas when I was 11 , this was a Nikon EM , I spent all my pocket and paperound money on films and developing , I hated the wait to get that film back from Boots to see the results.
In the digital age we are in now, the image is instantly displayed on the back of your camera so you know near enough if you have nailed the shot.
Many photographers still use film which in some respect is a good thing as it makes you think a lot harder due to the cost of film but with digital media you can afford to be a lot more creative and experimental.
I love all aspects of photography but I do have a real passion for landscape and astro, both are challenging but the both have their own rewards.
Based in Dorset I am lucky to be right near the beautiful Jurassic coast which offers a plethora of locations where you can shoot.
More recently I have been concentrating on studio portraiture work , which throws up all sorts of new challenges especially working with studio lights and modifiers.
I am honoured that I have had my work published a number of times in the national press and to be published in the Astro Photographer of the year for reaching the final draw.
